Stamp Sunday #24 – Party Pennants

I am posting this early due to tomorrow’s Spotlight Blog Hop (come back tomorrow to see some distressing).

C1429 Party Pennants (*this stamp set will be retiring so if you like it order now)

This is a fun set that has been around for a little while, great to use for an party card or layout.

Supplies used: We R Memory Keepers White Out Frenzy – Mania paper, CTMH Dotty For You paper, CTMH Party Pennant stamp set, CTMH Inks (Sunny Yellow, Sweet Leaf, Sunset, Lagoon, and Smoothie), CTMH circle and  scallop circle punches, CTMH rhinestone frames (retired), and Studio 18 Rhinestones.

I used inspiration from a Scrapbook Generation layout I found on Pinterest.  I am amazed at how many other papers and embellishments that I have in my stash are working so well with the Dotty for You papers.  I am so glad I overbought on this one.  My secret for easily cutting pennants like the ones are this page: I cut straight up the middle of the strip as deep as I want, then cut from the corner to the center (where I stopped my first cut) on both sides and that’s it.  You could certainly measure and draw the lines but I just cut.  I used this stamp set in a very traditional way but you can do so much more with it…use the dotted line to create a border on your page or use the banners to create a unique pattern!
