Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Sunflower Sympathy Stamp + Thin Cuts, Mix-In Paper Packet, Dull Green Blend TriBlend Marker, Orange Blend TriBlend Marker, Gold Shimmer Brush, Golden Rod Stickles, White & Gold Skinny Ribbon, White Daisy Cards & Envelopes, Intense Black Ink, and Gold Glitter Gems.
This stamp set was one of my favorites when I first got the new catalog and the new markers are great for coloring. To color the sunflower, I used all three shades of the Orange Blend Marker. Working in sections of 4 leaves at a time, I colored the entire area with the light shade, then added some of the medium, and a hint of the dark. Last, I colored the entire section again with the light shade to blend the colors. I just love bling and Stickles is another one of my favorite products! So, I covered the entire sunflower using the Gold Shimmer Brush and added small dots in the center with the Golden Rod Stickles. I also doubled up the ribbon to make it appear wider.
I was so focused on the sunflower that I didn’t even realize that this stamp set included a butterfly so I had to make another card. I just love the variety of shimmer brush colors that Close to My Heart offers now. I used Julep and Sapphire to color in these butterflies. I colored the entire image with Julep and added the sapphire right over the top.

Darning cards, the large sun flower is my favorite.
Beautiful creations!!!! Love the added sparkles 🙂
Your cards are beautiful. The sunflower card is magical. I love the background paper and the color of the sunflower is fabulous.
Love sunflowers! And love your cards!
Awesome cards, I love the sunflower one, the shimmer on it is perfect. And those butterflies against that striped paper, awesome!
I love both of your cards! I love how you added the gold to the sunflower. I also love your butterflies with the shimmer brushes.
