Happiest Place Blog Hop

Welcome to our Happiest Place Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the July-August special Happiest Place collection.

If you have come here from Melissa Robinson’s Blog , you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.  To visit each blog for some great ideas just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Happiest Place Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet, Happiest Place Coordinating Cardstock, Make It From Your Heart Volume 3, Black Glitter Paper, Happiest Place Digital Art Titles, Pocket Plus Memory Protectors Design 1, Happiest Place Acrylic Shapes, Dual-tip Permanent Glue Pen (works great for paper piecing together diecuts!), Happiest Place Stamp Set, and Black Journaling Pen (.03).

I thought about showing you how you can use this collection for things other than Disney but I am a Disney fan and have so many pictures so I just had to go that route! I pulled out one of the Make It From Your Heart pattern books, which makes it super easy to put layouts together! In addition to Flip Flaps, Pocket Plus Memory Protectors are another great way to add more photos to your layouts!
TIP: Before adhering the acrylic shapes, make sure to decide and pay attention to the matte and glossy side so you end up with the side that you want facing up.

For the journaling, I first drew lines in pencil along the outside and then I lined it up on my Versamat and used a ruler to draw the journaling lines in pen/marker. Here is a explanation in photos, although I had erased some of the pencil marks before I took all the pictures:

Here’s a look at the base pages without the Pocket Plus Memory Protector:

Now “Hop” on over to Michelle Locnar’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas!
