Flowers for You Blog Hop (May 2021 SOTM)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring Flowers for You stamp set, which is the May 2021 SOTM . If you have come here from Melissa Robinson’s Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

I just love all the coloring added to this layout with the Flowers for You stamp set. I knew pretty much any colors would work for these photos but with so many choices I didn’t know where to begin. So I pulled out the Love of Color books and found colors that went well with green since that was the one color that I knew I wanted for sure. The TriBlend Markers add such brightness to stamping. I used my Misti stamping platform to line everything up so it was perfect on the background with so much stamping. I wasn’t sure what to add for embellishments because I didn’t want to take away from the colored images. I finally decided on the Icicles Stickles Glitter Gel and it was the perfect way to add a bit of sparkly embellishing but the white/clear color makes it subtle so it doesn’t distract from the bright flowers.

Products used are all Close to My Heart: Flowers for You (May 2021 SOTM), Intense Black Ink, Alpine Green TriBlend Marker, True Blue Shades TriBlend Marker, True Blue Blend TriBlend Marker, Aqua Blue Blend TriBlend Marker, Green Apple Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Icicle Stickles Glitter Gel, and Love of Color Volume 2.

  1. I LOVE this. The colours you chose match perfectly (yay, for the how-to books), and I really like how you layered that photo over that circle cluster of flowers. Beautiful concept and execution!
