“Just Distress Oxide It” Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month we are highlighting the Distress Oxide inks. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.  If you are coming from Cat Nowak’s Blog, you are on the right track!

I just love how beautifully and easily the Distress Oxide inks blend together. Even the black and pink look great on this layout. For the background, I blended with the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, then topped with the Moon Dust Stickles. Since this is a dance photo, the added sparkle is perfect! A great way to create a matching title base is to use the Distress Oxide Ink on White Daisy Cardstock.

Supply List: Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, 3-D Flower Thin Cuts, Stencil Pack 2, Cherry Blossoms stamp set, White Daisy Cardstock, Black, Cardstock, Black Shimmer Trim, Black Ink, Black Acrylic Shapes, Moon Dust Stickles, and Black & White Dots.

Here’s a closeup of when I used the stencil and a closeup of the finished layout so you can see all the sparkle and shine on the background as well as the dimension of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto Michelle Loncar’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!
